The Business Report

 

         This reflective report is based on the experience gained by creating the business report for the group assignment of Business Communication. From the first impression on creating the report, the idea was a very engaging topic to work on. To study the work process of small to medium sized businesses, our group chose myBurgerLab to start with. The firm was a trending and popular restaurant, where our team decided to approach the company personally with an appointed date. With the help of three other members, Yong Sheng and Sherwin Teo, the report was being carefully written to the slightest of details.

 

Our expectations were where we would gain an insight into how this successful restaurant had operated. On the day of the appointment, the energy of the restaurant was very positive. Most of the staff working there were in their mid 20s. My expectations were that we could determine the operational activities, hardworking teammates and also the outcome of our report to be excellent. From spending our time to discover the restaurant since the opening hour to the closing hour, I was able to learn what one was unable to know. This is where I learnt that even with a small operating restaurant, I could see the passion from the staffs that they had shown with great pride. This is where the positivity of the company's culture had naturally shown clearly.

 

In conclusion, the welfare of many businesses could not be seen when one have not given the time and effort to learn about the respective firm. My expectation towards this assignment was considered as a great opportunity to discover this very trait of many reputable businesses would conceal. It is where the effort that my team and I had paid off. To truly understand how businesses maintain management activities, to maintain great customer relations is genuinely a fresh experience to learn from.
