Investments Through Financial Informations

This reflection is based on the experiences gained after completing my financial accounting group assignment. The assignment requires my team of 5 members to gather information from the central stock market, Bursa Malaysia, to gain the idea on how the information could benefit the potential investor. This assignment had provided me a general understanding in extracting useful data from the financial information of any pulicly listed companies. Whereby the company that is required to be worked on was Tune Insurance Berhad, and the path of the assignment questions were based on analyzing the Initial Public Offering of the firm.

The focus was to generate answers from the files gathered from Bursa Malaysia to assist investors to invest in the firm during the IPO. What I learned from this was during the IPO, the opportunity as an investor are provided the chance to invest at a significantly lower price, which proves to be a major long-term benefit if the firm is a highly respectable one. In the views of the Prospectus, I had noticed that the information structured in this type of file is very critical for an investor to determine whether or not he would obtain any gains after buying the company's shares.

Since any investor's goal was to take minimal risks if possible to create a prosperous outcome, the values of this assignment would clearly pave a greater pathway if I were to invest in more companies in the future to create an earning portfolio. Especially if investing on the terms of millions in monetary terms is the main concern, this value would never be neglected as the information through the firm's Prospectus gives us a reliable overview on the health of the company that I would want to invest. The financial information provided by the firm, if analyzed carefully, are the most crucial information that gives us the confidence that for our money that we had placed in exchange for the amount of the common stock would turn out to be a wise investment. This are the values that I would take into consideration if I were a more avid investor in the future.
